To plan your ceremony wedding music, start by looking at the style of ceremony you want.

Will you be married in a church or married by a celebrant, inside or outdoors, and will the ceremony take place in the same place as the wedding reception, or a different location?

What music would you like for your wedding guests while they await your arrival at the wedding ceremony?

A solo classical guitarist, a singer, string quartet, trio or a harpist are popular wedding ceremony music choices.

Classical Music

Ask the musicians about the wedding music they play. Experienced classical musicians will have sheet music for an ensemble such as a string quartet.
Some of the more popular tunes, such as Pachelbel's Canon in D will be easy for the musicians to perform, as many people traditionally will ask for this piece.

Perhaps you'd like a newer wedding song to be done by a singer, maybe accompanied by a guitarist or harp.

Wedding Reception Music

For the wedding reception music, you will probably want the following:

When the guests arrive for drinks or canapes before the wedding reception, some background wedding music may be required.

The Westworld wedding band have performed in the Hunter Valley at a private vineyard, and at the Hotel Conrad in Brisbane at a 5 star wedding banquet under the marquee.

The trio were flown to Daydream Island in North Queensland, where the wedding was outdoors on the private back beach in the resort.

Nick has performed at a very luxurious and private wedding as the star musician and band leader, entertaining a select group of wedding guests on Double Island, where celebrities such as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie take their exclusive vacations.

Nick was flown from Brisbane to Cairns especially, then after returning to Brisbane to perform another musical engagement, was flown back again to play another Palm Cove wedding the following evening.

Obviously, it isn't always possible for the band to learn 40 or 50 new pieces of music for each wedding, but in some cases, the bride and groom have sent out their wedding invitations asking guests to suggest one or two pieces of music to be played on cd during the early part of the evening, before the band perform.

Having been to a couple of inner city Brisbane weddings where this is the case, the wide choice of songs from Born Free by Andy Williams to Goo Goo Dolls - is entertainment on its own and can lend a little light heartedness to the function.

The band's repertoire is large and ranges from quiet background dinner music to the dance floor hits suitable for later on, after the speeches and wedding formalities have been taken care of.
